RITUAL ONE - Photography

As a photographer I am constantly on the prowl for new photo opportunities. I take my camera everywhere I go. It's my comfort item, my lifeline: my lens that I see the world through.
Photography allows me to capture just a moment in-time. Forever immortalized into a still that creates a tension and drama that no other medium can provide. Photography is photo-real - it has the closest relation to reality.
It is a permanent reminder of a moment long past, a fleeting and ephemeral moment - capture still for the rest of time.
RITUAL TWO - Breakfast

We overlook the simpler things in life. The simple act of eating a breakfast is a marvel in-of-itself. To eat meals that would rival a king's feast from centuries before.
Eating the meal provides a clarity of mind and provides us the energy we need for the rest of the day. An ultimate purpose fulfilled in such a mundane fashion.

RITUAL THREE - Phone

The cell phone plays such a vital role in society today. Everyday we wake up and our first instinct is to reach for our phone fresh off the charger.
Liquid dopamine pumped straight through our cranial ecosystem; but for me the phone represents frustration and pain. The cracks formed when I dropped my phone a few months ago and continued to grow in size and severity since.
The frustration, the endless annoyance, and the melodramatic non-functioning of the device continues to spite me to this very day.
